This post was more fitting yesterday, 3.14, but my kids and schedule didn't allow the time. I love pie! This love was introduced early by my Grandpa B. He also loved to bake and create his own recipes. He made bread, pie, ice cream (not really baking but very yummy), cookies, and cake. My mom loved her dad's bread so much he taught my dad how to make it. My dad has been baking bread every since. One of my Grandpa's specialties was Blueberry pie with a whole wheat crust. He would pick the blueberries from his own trees and make the crust with fresh ground whole wheat. It was delicious. He also introduced another idea, Pie for breakfast. He would sometimes have friends over for breakfast and serve pie.
